Such Is Life
To write about your feelings is a gruesome thing.
Not because the words are difficult to find, but because once they are written, they stop being thoughts and become evidence. They stare back at you. They ask questions you were hoping to avoid. They make you admit that you felt exactly what you felt.
And yet, for the longest time, feelings have been the only thing I've wanted to write about.
Funny how that works.
"Such is life" is perhaps one of the loosest phrases we've ever created. It belongs everywhere and nowhere at once. A lottery winner can whisper it in gratitude. Someone standing at a funeral can sigh the very same words. A child discovering joy and an adult surviving heartbreak can both arrive at the exact same conclusion:
Such is life.
The phrase doesn't discriminate between fortune and tragedy. It doesn't ask whether your story deserves celebration or sympathy. It simply reminds you that life keeps unfolding, indifferent to your plans.
For the past six or seven months, I've been living inside that sentence.
If I could have written about everything that happened while I was living it, I would have. But some experiences refuse to become words until they've settled. They ask to be felt first and understood later.
In what feels like a remarkably short time, everything has shifted.
My life has changed.

The roles they play have changed.
The context behind my decisions has changed.
The direction I thought I was walking in has quietly bent into another road.
Even my understanding of myself has become unfamiliar.
It is strange to watch your own story transform while you're still inside it. There is no narrator to explain what's happening. No chapter titles. No soundtrack telling you whether this is the beginning of something beautiful or the ending of something you should mourn.
You're simply expected to keep living.
And maybe that's the hardest part.
Life rarely announces its turning points. One ordinary conversation changes a relationship. One opportunity changes your career. One goodbye changes your priorities. One random Tuesday quietly divides your life into before and after.
You don't notice it until you're already standing on the other side.
There is something terrifying about that.
But there is also something incredibly beautiful.
Because if life can change this much in six months without asking for permission, then it can surprise you just as unexpectedly tomorrow.
Maybe that's why I've grown oddly fond of the phrase.
It doesn't promise that everything happens for a reason.
It doesn't pretend that pain is poetic.
It doesn't tell you to stay positive.
It simply shrugs, smiles a little, and says, such is life.
And somehow, that feels honest.
So this isn't a blog about having everything figured out. Quite the opposite.
It's about accepting that life is constantly rewriting itself while we're busy trying to understand the previous chapter.
It's about realizing that the people, places, dreams, and fears that once felt permanent are often just passing through.
It's about finding peace in the uncertainty.
It's funny. It's scary. It's beautiful. And perhaps that's exactly what makes it worth living.
Such is life.
