The Sunken Pirate

Some friendships leave you to face storms you weren’t ready for. Some comrades walk away when the seas get rough. That’s life. You give your best, you stand by them, and still, some leave. Let them. Let them perceive you however they want — it doesn’t define who you truly are.

But never be the first to demand. Let me explain.

Imagine you’re on a pirate ship. The crew doesn’t like the captain, so a mutiny happens. The captain ends up marooned on a deserted island with one gun and one bullet. He has to survive on his own.

Years later, you meet that pirate on land. You don’t ask, “How did you survive?” That would be pointless. You simply respect what they endured, silently honoring their strength.

Some journeys are theirs alone. You can’t question them. You can only respect them.
