At the Top

There was a shepherd living deep in a forest near a river. Life there was hard, full of dangers, but they had made peace with the wilderness. Their animals weren’t strong enough to survive, so they focused on meditation, food, and just living.

The most incredible thing about their home was the mountain right outside their door. The shepherd’s kids climbed it every day, up and down, exploring without fear.

One day a helicopter spotted three kids at the very top, eating berries. Shocked, the crew landed and saw the family living there.

“How did you train them to climb peaks like this?” one asked.

The shepherd smiled. “I didn’t. I never told them it couldn’t be done. I never even told them it was hard. I just let them do it.”

No magic, no tricks. Just belief. Sometimes all it takes is not telling someone what they can’t do.
