Open Doors and Closed Windows
We spend a lot of time waiting for doors to open.
Big ones. Loud ones. The kind that feel like they’ll change everything. We stare at them, knock, even beg sometimes — thinking this is where the breakthrough will come from. The big moment, the big yes, the life we imagined.
But while we’re focused on that one door, we don’t notice the quiet windows slightly ajar.
The soft whispers. The unexpected chances. The tiny detours that don’t look like much but could lead somewhere better. We ignore them — because they don’t look like the “plan.”
But maybe that’s where the shift begins.
Not in grand entrances, but in moments that feel small at first. A conversation. A new interest. Something someone said that stayed with you. A chance to start something imperfectly.
We’re taught to look for certainty — for wide open doors. But life isn’t always that clear. Sometimes, it’s a closed window with a bit of light peeking through. And if you slow down, really look, you might realize it’s been open just enough all along.
