Don't shrink
Some people step on others just to feel taller. That’s their therapy bill. But the real question is — why do we shrink ourselves?
We already feel small — when we’re misunderstood, overlooked, or told we’re “too much” or “not enough.” But here’s the thing: Charlie Chaplin was once told he’d never make it in film — that his act was “nonsense.”
Silent films. Clumsy walks. A hat and cane. They mocked him. He made the world laugh.
He didn’t shrink. He didn’t shout. He just showed up, fully himself — and let that speak.
So maybe next time you feel the urge to dim down or laugh off your own ideas, think: if Chaplin can make the world feel seen without saying a word, why can’t you?
You don't need to shrink yourself to fit the frame, make your own movie :)
